In this short video, the author, Dr Priya Desai has demonstrated the indication and the method of supra-tarsal steroid injection, which could be either Triamnicolone 20 mg in 1 ml or Dexamethasone 4mg in 1 ml. It needs to be injected deep into the SUPRA-TARSAL SPACE: the space between the upper surface of the tarsus and the orbicular muscle. A subconjunctival spread of steroids should be avoided as it leads to conjunctival scarring and more chances of a raised IOP.
